Staphyt Research LTD employs a field team passionate about driving innovation in New Zealand agriculture. 2020 began with organisational changes in re-branding to Staphyt Research LTD and Jarrod Harvey taking on the role as Country Manager.
Located at 1/129 Maraekakaho Road Hastings is Ashleigh Mitchell-Forde our experienced Research officer. Ashleigh, who has notched up over six years with Staphyt Research NZ (formerly Peracto NZ) expertly manages trials in this area.
The Ashburton site at 4 Graham Street Tinwald in the South Canterbury region on the South Island is the hub of New Zealand’s largest cereal growing area. Pastoral, vegetable and forage crop trials are flourishing in this area managed by Research and Technical Officers Amy Darling, Sam Wilson and Mickael Pellan.
The Pukekohe site which operates from 46 Aka Aka Road, Puni, offers a wide range of vegetable crops, located at the doorstep of NZ’s largest city, Auckland. Our Pukekohe site also has close proximity to the Bay of Plenty, the centre of kiwifruit and avocado production. Jarrod Harvey (Bachelor of AgriScience, majoring in agriculture) and employed with Staphyt since 2013, is Research Officer and Country Manager on-site at Pukekohe. Jarrod has recently been joined by new recruit Jasper Manalo. Jasper joins us with a background in horticulture, most recently working on a research paper for a local growing operation. Prior to moving to New Zealand Jasper held a wide range of positions at Monsanto in the Philippines and already has a good understanding of trial management. We look forward to Jasper becoming part of our great NZ team.
