New station for Staphyt Russia, is giving access to an expanded crops panel. It is located in Borisoglebsk (Voronez Area), in the Southern Federal District of Russia, part of the black soil region of the country. This region has a continental climate, with an average temperature in winter of -5°C and in summer of +19°C. Average precipitation is between 400 mm-500 mm. Most of the area is composed of heavy black soil with a high level of humus. PH average is 5,5-6.
Crops commonly grown at the station are cereals, corn, sunflower, sorghum, sugar beet, beans, rape seed, potato, soybean.
Trials managed by Staphyt Russia are:
- Crop efficacy and selectivity trials
- Herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, bactericides, PGR, adjuvants.
- Crop nutrition trials
Showcase and demonstration trials
- Large and microplot variety trials
- Maize, sunflower, cereals, rape, soybeans.
