The European Commission published a new technical guidance document on the setting of Maximum Residue Limits (MRL’s) in honey, to be implemented on 1 January 2020. This guidance provides technical information on studies and data needed to meet European requirements (Regulation (EU) No 283/2013, Annex 6.10). Depending on the characteristics of the active substance, the intended uses and the available data, different methodologies may be used.
Staphyt Regulatory and APC can help you to meet the European data requirements and to determine, according to the guidance document, which studies should be conducted. Staphyt Agroscience has been working on residue trials for bee products since 2015 to develop the sampling and experimentation techniques needed to conduct these tests. Our teams now have the ability to perform a large number of trials in Northern and Southern Europe.
