BEE AND BUMBLE BEE TESTING

To support insecticide registration and to get ‘French bee mention’ (“Abeille 1, 2 or 3”) or to secure insecticide users and food consumers, our expert team proposes you several tests:

• Toxicity studies under tunnels : usual testing during and out foraging activity

• Re-entry studies (depending on results of the above studies) : when a product has shown effects on bees, we define possible interval between application and insect exposition

• Brood comb side effects : in order to define and to quantify the effects at the hive level (eggs, larvae,)

• Studies on other beneficials (Bombus) in glass house : as theses insects can be affected by plant protection products, it is important to check that no adverse effects are caused by insecticides

• Sub product samplings : honey, pollen, wax, dead or alive bees for residue studies or characterisation analysis under GLP

• Studies on bee larvae : direct toxicity evaluation

• Open field studies : on very large elementary plots (8ha)

• Other specific studies on demand

All theses studies are conducted under GLP standards and in accordance with the French CEB method n° 230
